Full transparency
Affiliate Disclosure
GambleDude earns commission from some casinos we review. Here's exactly how that works - and why it never affects our ratings.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a common business model for review and comparison websites. When a casino partners with us, they provide a tracking link. If a visitor clicks that link, creates an account, and makes a deposit, the casino pays GambleDude a commission - typically a percentage of the player's net losses over a set period, or a flat fee per sign-up.
This is standard across the gambling review industry. Sites including AskGamblers, Casino.org, and Trustpilot operate on similar models.
How This Affects Our Reviews
It doesn't - and here's how we ensure that:
- Scores are calculated before commercial discussions. Our 8-criteria scoring methodology is applied to every casino the same way, regardless of whether an affiliate agreement exists.
- We list casinos we don't earn from. Several casinos in our top rankings have no affiliate agreement with us. They appear because they scored well - not because they pay us.
- We decline partnerships with low-scoring casinos. If a casino approaches us for an affiliate relationship and scores below 7.0 on our criteria, we decline. We will not list a casino we don't believe in, regardless of commission rate.
- Rogue listings are maintained regardless of commercial relationships. If a casino on our affiliate roster is found to have wronged players, it is immediately removed from the site and added to our Rogue List.
Which Links Are Affiliate Links?
Any "Visit", "Claim Bonus", or "Play Now" button on a casino review page or category listing page may be an affiliate link. These links are tracked by the casino's affiliate platform and attributed to GambleDude if you sign up.
Links within our editorial content (such as links to regulator websites, responsible gambling organisations, or other media) are not affiliate links.
Your Cost
Affiliate commissions are paid by the casino from their marketing budget. You pay exactly the same deposit amount, receive exactly the same bonus, and play under exactly the same terms whether you arrive via GambleDude or directly. There is no surcharge for arriving through an affiliate link.
Regulatory Compliance
GambleDude complies with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines on affiliate marketing disclosure and the FTC's guidelines for endorsements and testimonials. We disclose our commercial relationships clearly and do not make misleading claims about casino offers.
